The Great Outdoors

Well the weekend plans changed! No meat cooking, did not even stay close to the smoker at all. We spent the weekend at the lake, as a matter of fact that pic is from the lake we camped at. Had a wonderful time. It was outstanding. We had a few beers to drink, ate some hotdogs, swam, boated and even had a camp fire.

It was a weekend to remember. I have a buddy that has a boat, so we did get to cruise around the lake a few times. Spent hours just floating around in the lake soaking up the sun. Nope i did not get sunburnt at all.
And i dont care what people say, there is nothing better than crawling out of your tent just as the sun comes up over the lake, it is quiet and peaceful and the scenery is outstanding.

Of course if your familiar with camping you know that you see some really strange folks out at the lake. I mean where else can you see a boat with a rebel flag on it? We had rednecks on one side of us, and a 300lb chick in a bikini on the other. So you can guess just how exciting the camping was! I mean damn if that thing could hold her all in, they need to use it to hold the tiles on the space shuttle!

But really it was a wonderful time with friends, with good eats and good drink and lots of sun and fun.
