Are you happy?

For those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile you know that my life has been exciting lately. With my dads health problems and my own problems at home, I have been on my toes lately and the days are flying bye.

I was thinking about the gas prices on my way to work this morning, it is 2.49 a gallon this morning for regular unleaded. And I have to drive 50 miles each way to work, so the price of gas is always on my mind. But you know we are lucky to live in the USA. We have a lot of freedoms, we can bitch about everything that happens in the world and in our own home town and our country, with out worrying about anyone coming to haul us off to jail or worse yet just disappear in the middle of the night never to be seen from again!

We complain about gas, about our families and about our jobs. We belly ache about most things that happen during the day. But we are in the land of the free! I think no matter how bad things get we should be thankful that we are here and not in a third world country. We don't worry about bombs going off at our jobs, or in the street in front of our house. And we know from the t.v. and the papers that it happens everyday in other parts of the world.

So with that in mind I was just wondering if your happy in your life? Do you think things could be better? Do you realize that they could be awhole lot worse? So I am saying today that no matter how bad I think things are sometimes, I am really happy with my life. I have a decent family, and some really good friends and a wonderful job to go to every day! Just some food for thought today.
